Classes this session begin the week of April 29th, and end the week of June 3rd.

All classes run for 6 weeks, meeting once a week for 3 hours. Additionally, each intro class includes 1 hour of one-on-one instruction. Tuition covers a bag of clay, use of glazes, tools, studio equipment, and access to open studio time. Additional clay may be purchased through the studio.

Intro classes
Learn wheel throwing basics in this structured class. Beginning with centering clay, each week progresses students through the process of making functional pottery. These Intro classes are designed for those with no experience with clay, but will be valuable to anyone looking to build a solid foundation in a systematic way.

Handbuilding classes

Introduction to handbuilding with a focus on pinching and coiling building methods. Students will learn the basics of clay and be given demonstrations on how to build various functional vessels. The classes will also go over different types of surface decoration using slips and glazes. This is a suitable class for beginners, but all levels are welcome!

Open classes
These open-ended wheel throwing classes are for those who have experience with the basics of throwing. Each class will open with a demonstration or two, but students are encouraged to work on whatever inspires them, with the teacher there to offer guidance, critique, or teach new skills.
